Like all machines, automobiles require routine maintenance and repairs to keep them reliable and in the best possible operating condition. All components in your vehicle have a useful life span. Each automobile manufacture designs a maintenance schedule to assure your vehicle provides its optimum life and performance. The maintenance schedule can be found in your vehicles owners manual. Typically it is divided into mileage intervals and sometimes time intervals. Some basic guidelines might be as follows. Every 3 months or 3000 miles: (LOF ) Lube, oil & filter
Every 6000 – 7500 miles: Rotate tires ( protects against premature tire wear and helps your tires last longer )
Every 12months or 15k miles: Tire rotation & balance , Four Wheel Alignment, Comprehensive vehicle inspection
Every 24 months or 30k miles: Engine performance , Coolant system service, Transmission service, Brake fluid service , Brake systems inspection and adjustment, Valve Adjustment.
Every 48 months or 60k miles: This includes the 30k service & Secondary ignition service, Drive belt service, Timing belt service ( if required ), Radiator hose replacement
Every 72 months or 90k miles: 30k service and timing belt replacement ( Some Honda’s )
